Organize Your Files

Do You Have a Business?

If you don’t have a business, you can skip on to the next section (chapter), but if you do have a business, I have something very important to tell you. Keep your business files separate. From the time they come into the house till the time you throw them in the shedder, they need to be keep separate. Your business is going to need a completely separate filing cabinet, and if you have multiple businesses, then I would suggest you get a separate filing cabinet for each one. I wouldn’t even keep your personal filing cabinet and your business filing cabinet in the same room.

Keeping your business files organized are a bit different than your personal files. So I have another book that you can check out called “Organizing Your Business Files” by D. Rich, and the web address is www.business.organizeyourfiles.com.

Included in the book are instructions on how to keep receipts, statements, invoices, and taxes organized without getting overwhelmed with the sheer volume of paperwork that you need to keep. The book is a must read for all business owners and if you are one of those people, I highly recommend it.
